#HeartOfTheFather: You're Worth Celebrating
about a week or so ago, i came across this free course on “how to hear god’s voice” that has been the best thing i’ve stumbled upon over the internet in a lonnnng time.
the things god has been speaking to my heart have been so beautiful, so needed, that i am positive that there’s someone out there who needs to hear these words just as much. so for now, i’ll call this series the #heartofthefather.
Lord, do you love me?
What is there to not love about you?
You’re smart.
Funny.
Passionate.
Care about bringing good into the world wherever you go.
You’re an amazing wife, mom + friend.
You look at yourself + all the ways you don’t measure up, and somehow think in the back of your head that that makes you unloveable, and I’ll stop loving you…and that can’t be further from the truth.
I love you because I love you.
Your heart will always want to complicate that answer or turn it into a different reasoning that has something to do with you + your ability.
But I love you just because I want to.
Because I can.
Because I get to.
I don’t love you for what you can do for me or how good you can be.
I adore you babe.
There’s much to celebrate about you. And I wish you’d cheer for and love the parts of you that you’ve been so used to shaming.
Like your voice.
Like your heart–for me + for people.
Like your body.
Like your mind.
Like your story.
Even your struggles + failures.
I don’t just love the likeable parts of you. I love ALL of you.
And no matter what you do, that’ll never change.
