#PrayAboutIt: God, I'll Let You In On The Mess

do you pray about the messy + mundane? do you only go to god for the big, out-of-your-hands, last-resort kinda stuff?

if you’re like most folks, you listen to that voice that says your feelings are “no big deal,” and you push through the hard stuff anyway.

overwhelmed? yeah, but it’s no big deal.
stressed the hell out? yup, but it’s no big deal.
pissed? angry? totally, but it’s not that serious.

rather than airing out your emotions, maybe you suppress them, shove them down until you can’t quite feel them anymore. or maybe you let ‘em all out, but not in the healthiest way.

whatever end of the spectrum you often find yourself on, this morning i realized–while listening to todd dulaney’s song “victory belongs to jesus–” that we’d have much more peace, much more joy, much more strength + victory in our lives if only we’d let god IN on the mess.

friend, god cares about everything you care about.

your car note.
whether or not you should quit your job.
what you should major in.
who you date/marry.
your business’ strategy.
your friendships.

everything.

but so often, separate our lives into things we think we can handle + things we need god for.

friend, when life gets overwhelming, chaotic + difficult, it’s in those moments where our heart is heavy that we need to lean into god all the M O R E .

so to remind you god cares about every part of you + your life, and to encourage you to let him in on the messiness of life, i’ve said a little prayer for you! watch it below!

let’s chat:

what are the things you think god doesn’t care about? how can you be more intentional about letting him in on your heart, no matter what you’re feeling?
